Design System Doc Site Findability
The most important feature of your design system documentation site is the content.
The second most important feature of your design system documentation site is findability.
Even if you have great assets, folks will have a hard time trusting your system without great documentation. And, if they can’t find what they are looking for, they’ll have a strong urge to just go build it themselves. You don’t want that to happen. Instead, apply all those tried-and-true methods of findability and information architecture to your documentation site.
Bonus benefit: you get the absolute gold mine of search logs if you do this right. All the stuff people are searching for on your doc site just might be a really good set of clues for stuff to consider in future work.
